Then you layer the colors in cupcake liners and bake. If you've never seen them before, you basically make white or yellow cake batter and then divide the batter into six bowls and dye each section a different color of the rainbow. Rainbow cupcakes were all over the food blogging scene for awhile and though I thought they were cute, I never had the occasion to make them. Rainbows are theme of the pediatric hospital so I was suddenly inspired to make rainbow cupcakes.
